This is my 2nd televisit with Emily Ankrom. I found her to be patient, competent, and a 'straight shooter'. I have chronic pancreatitis, and have 5 out of 5 of the top risk factors for getting pancreatic cancer. She prescribed me capsules made from pig pancreas the last call, and they have worked wonders, but are treatment, not a cure. I asked, and was told there is really no medicine or treatment, no 'cure'. Tests and monitoring will continue - if things get bad enough, and I get pancreatic cancer, an operation may be warranted, but the operation is kind of a 'last ditch' - it is a very invasive operation, due to where the pancreas is. Emily had tremendous patience, answering my numerous questions, giving me 'straight', unambiguous answers. The truth is not the answers I hoped for, but I want the hard truth, and I got it. I am 78 soon, grouchy, not easily pleased, do not give 5 stars lightly - listen to the guy who has 'been around' and has had good and bad providers.
