I have tried to find a therapist that works for me for the last few years, but every one seemed to just not fit. I found Emma 2 years ago, and all I can say is that she helped change my life. I was seeing a Social Worker before, but I definitely have a dysfunctional family, and that is one of the one thing things that helped me change big time, she helped me understand and unravel how the dysfunction in my family continued to affect my life as an adult. Or I guess more importantly, how to create and keep really strict boundaries with them. I didn’t realize before how much my lack of boundaries with my family was affecting my happiness.It was not easy, and at times it was really painful, but if I hadn’t faced that head on, I don’t think I would have been able to heal.She’s also super funny and VERY unique, I almost always laughed and cried during sessions. She just got me, she has the ability to just really understand people and ACTUALLY cares, which is rare these days.
