Evelyn Ahlfield is thorough, knowledgeable, caring, and very approachable. She gathers all available information from blood work and ECGs to physical exams and patient reports. She looks for and considers non-cardiac test results that can include cardiac-related information or inferences. She takes a full-picture approach and makes substantive suggestions for improving cardiac risk, whether it be medication, diet, exercise, tests or other factors. Though she acknowledges risk factors that many of us would rather not talk about, like obesity and lack of exercise, she doesn’t dwell on them. Rather, she works with the patient to develop ways to improve those factors or offset them to some extent with other actions. She’s personable and has a wonderful demeanor. She is never harsh or judgmental. She takes things as they are and figures out ways to overcome problems and work toward an improved cardiac profile. I trust Evelyn Ahlfield and I am so glad to have her working with me.
