Went to Carson City Renown Urgent Care to get a steroid shot for seasonal allergies, because I did the same last year with great results. Long story short, this provider was no way in heck going to give me one. She had several valid points, the most persuasive was, Why take a whole body steroid when your eyes and nose are the only thing affected? She prescribed nasal sprays instead. I have to hand it to her, my allergies are a thing of the past. Also, I ended up having surgery two weeks later that would have been postponed if I had received the steroid shot.
