How likely are you to recommend Gretchen Wachs?
Excellent. I don't often fill out reviews but tripped over this singular review and felt compelled to offer another experience to balance this one. I was in therapy with Gretchen regularly for over a year and then had a number of followup/tuneup sessions over at least another year. Gretchen was always very punctual and communicative while politely guiding me to be moreso myself when necessary. She listened well and while she did not always understand what I was struggling with right away, neither did I and she again guided me to reveal what was *really* going on for me, at which point she was able to give me good feedback and advice on how to change my behaviour or how I experienced things I could not change. Her directness and firmness was often disarming, but ultimately for the better. That was part of her job and I quickly realized it was my job to recognize her good faith and experience and take best advantage of it.
