I believe the core of therapy is the relationship between client and therapist; therefore I have an active and engaged approach to working with my clients. I hope that clients take away a sense of comfort and ease after our first session. I know that finding a new therapist can sometimes be difficult and anxiety inducing; my goal is always to create a safe space for my clients. I try to identify goals at the end of the first session so that my clients also know what we are working toward. I believe that insight and awareness, while very important, are not enough and strive to equip my clients with more tools for their toolkits. I do not believe that "one size fits all" and am very collaborative with clients to determine the best treatment plan for each individual.
