I had very bad edema in my legs the kind that results in non healing ulcers one on my ankle left me unable to walk or bear weight for over 4 months prior to seeing Hans for lymphedema treatments a massage technique that opens the lymphatic valves and moves the fluid up the legs and back into the body where the kidneys can do their job. It’s impossible to really describe how this process feels but it is quite amazing to feel your lymphatic system open up waves of fluid being pumped up and out and drawing a vacuum all the way down in your feet . When done I’m wrapped in compression bandages from the feet and up to my knees so when I stand the fluid can’t flow back down. Upon leaving my first stop is generally to the restroom to empty my bladder . But the best part of my story is that after a few sessions with Hans and following his advice about how to help deal with my situation my non healing ulcer that the doctors and wound care specialists had no success with started healing up .
