Dr. Weisman is wildly intelligent, direct, and cares deeply about her patients. I have been a patient with her for about 9 months (for OCD), and she is hands down the best therapist I've ever had. Unlike other therapists who are coddling and hands off (other than to tell you that your 'feelings are valid' and keep you in therapy in perpetuity), Dr. Weisman maps out rational plans based on research to help her patients recover. She is very compassionate yet honest and is not afraid to challenge me when my behaviors or thoughts are unhelpful. She helps me to clarify what my values are so that I can lead with them rather than with my feelings, never letting me compromise my integrity. Maybe some patients are looking for more of a fuzzy mother figure who lets them feel right about everything, but if you actually want to get healthier and happier, you can't find a better provider.
