After 3 pregnancy & birthing experiences, this woman was the most amazing birth professional I've ever met. I have type 1 diabetes & with all of my babies, I have always had such a hard time attempting a 'natural' birth because of the 'risks.' With my most recent birth, I had a long induction process which was physically & emotionally exhausting. Until she arrived, I had a very insensitive doctor who made me feel pressured, rushed & threatened. Jessica was so patient & calm & made me feel safe, understood & empowered. Even though I was progressing slowly & we had to discuss other options, she explained them all to me & was supportive of whatever choice I made. My body went from progressing very slowly to suddenly kicking into gear after she arrived, & I had my baby shortly after. She turned my bad induction experience into the most beautiful birth I've had, & the closest to the natural birth I've always wanted. Her calm, supportive, nurturing demeanor is what all birthing women need.
