I was a patient of Joan for roughly 6 years and she helped me tremendously in overcoming anger and anxiety issues. Unlike many therapists, Joan is highly interactive and does not withhold her thoughts and opinions. Whereas many therapists merely serve as a sounding board, Joan offers valuable insight, feedback, and advice during her sessions, yet in a highly compassionate, empathetic manner. I would recommend Joan to anyone seeking mental therapy.
