He's interested in you and what is bothering you. He responds to your questions with clear understandable explanations that make it easier for you to understand what's going on in your life, and helps you take the action to change as much as you desire. He doesn't "just listen" without offering help to you make desired change; he doesn't have a "fits all sizes" solution that misses the target for your specific life concerns. He does listen; he does adapt his knowledge and wisdom to help you help yourself with your specific life issues.
