Everyone at Westgate Orthopaedic Physical Therapy creates the most healing atmosphere that I have ever experienced at any medical facility. My Physical Therapist, Dr. Kara Schimke was of course just amazing and more important to my recovery than anyone else including the surgeon. My knee was seriously injured in a fall from the top of a ladder. The alternatives were to have a knee replacement or have my shattered knee rebuilt using metal, screws and powdered bone. I opted for the joint repair which is more painful and takes longer to recover from. I had been to physical therapy previously at other locations and had little confidence that the treatment would be all that helpful and also be painful. But I was mistaken, and this became evident almost immediately. My therapist Dr. Kara Schimke was not only very knowledgeable, extremely perceptive, and very gentle, she inspired me to get better. I could never say enough to thank her or do her skills justice and I am so grateful.
