I used Kathleen McNamara in a contested custody case. My ex was a mother of our two very young children, who had at the time no drug convictions or criminal record, but did have mental issues she was effective in hiding. The judge had issued restraining orders (baseless) against me, and my ex played the victim well. I found Dr. McNamara did a thorough job, and while she was not a huge fan of mine, she did the work to find the truth between all of the typical "he said, she said" and awarded me majority decision making and parenting time, and she also documented concerns that later were borne out in events that unfolded following the initial custody allotment. This all saved my children unimaginable grief. I ultimately paid for TWO custody evaluations, a second one later needed for a court proceeding allowing me to move out of state with the children, in which I prevailed. All of this ended up 100% justified. My kids and I and all our family owe a debt of gratitude to Dr. McNamara.
