Catheterized 13 months, prior to Auquablation surgery for BPH; while the surgery was successful in restoring my ability to pee, I lost all ability to control my urine stream: flowing 24 hours a day. Encouraged to do daily Kegel exercises, I asked my urologist about acupuncture: he was very positive about it. Referred by a friend, I set up a series of weekly treatments with acupuncture specialist, Kim Shaddox. After 6 treatments, I now sleep 4 to 6 hours a night before I get the urge to pee and hold it until I get to the bathroom. During the day I get the urge and can hold it until I get to the bathroom. I still dribble a little, but that’s normal for men my age of 76. With 2 treatments left, I am thrilled that Kim has brought me back to bladder normalcy.
