My 15 year old was diagnosed with bipolar and I was told to put her on lithium. After doing a deep dive into her hormones, Dr. Kyle found that her estrogen was close to '0'. That often presents itself behaviorally as bipolar behavior. He got her hormones balanced over the next few months and all the 'crazy' behavior disappeared with NO lithium.
