Dr. Shapiro is pretty good. One one hand, I find him (whether he means to or not) to have a bit of a judgmental vibe -- I often feel like an idiot when talking to him. He's not the warmest psychologist I've ever met, but then again he's not the coldest either. On the other hand, I have always found his advice to be pretty good. While I often felt like I was treading water with other psychologists, Dr. Shapiro's advice has usually worked pretty well for me in overcoming various anxiety issues. I guess you could see the judgmental vibe being a bonus here, since I tend to feel like an idiot when I come in and haven't followed his instructions.
