After birthing 7 children in hospitals, I decided to use a home birth midwife for #8 & #9. After being treated like an old woman with too many babies (I was 42 & 44 for these last two.), it was so refreshing to be treated like a pregnant - NOT SICK - woman. A woman capable of pregnancy and birth despite my age and the number of children I had. My appointments were like sitting around with my grandma, chatting about life. The births were great. I mean, they hurt, but Linda was right there encouraging me through it all.
