Blended families aren’t easy. We sought out counseling and found. Dr. Lindsey about 15 years ago. After we got custody of my stepson, there were a lot of problems in the house with coparenting my stepson. He also had ODD which compounded the problems. Difficulty at school on top of that. Lindsey gave me great tools to try and reduce the friction in the household. She never took sides, but even when I was wrong, I wasn’t the bad guy. That meant a lot. My stepson and I struggled for almost a decade and it would’ve never lasted without Lindsey. While the marriage ended up failing, my stepson and I have a great relationship thanks to her. If you’re looking for somebody who actually cares, this is her. She’s not fake, even watching her with the other kids in the waiting room, the way she interacts with them, and their struggles, it is so impressive. She truly loves her kids.
