I put off buying hearing aids more than three years because of a less than satisfactory experience with an audiology clinic nearer my home. It was WHAM, your hearing is bad, and BAM, here's what your hearing aids will cost. No discussion of choices of types or manufacturers, pros and cons, or options. Fast forward to 2021. A helpful LinkedIn profile for Elizabeth Thompson AuD led me to Hickory Audiology, recently opened by Elizabeth with clinical audiologist Lisa Goerner AuD CCC-A in their new clinic on Landmark in Bloomington. There was a day and night difference between this and my previous audiology clinic experience. Lisa took a more thorough history, gave a more thorough exam, gave a better explanation of the results, and (most important to me) showed me my available choices of hearing aids and answered the questions which I needed to make an informed decision. You will appreciate Lisa's skills and she will help you find the best solution for your money. Period.
