I look back at my life and am so grateful to have had the guidance for many years of someone like Mary Bobis. People such as Mary with high principles are often judgmental, at least here in the Bible Belt, so choosing a therapist is difficult. No one wants to be judged but what is the point in seeking guidance from someone you do not respect? Mary is rare in that she possesses impeccable character along with the ability to see the best in others. She always saw me as perfectly capable of resolving my past issues involving family; issues that at the time, seemed to me to be insurmountable. Eventually I was able to see myself in the same way, without all the harsh judgement I had carried for much of my life. Since coping behaviors were no longer using up all my energy, I was able to go on to accomplish things that I did not think possible. Mary is also one of the most genuinely kind people that I have ever known.
