I met Dr Falk in 2012. We worked together on and off over the course of a decade. Dr. Falk was, by far, the most effective clinician I have ever worked with. The breadth and depth of her wisdom, understanding, and choices led to remarkable results. She helped me navigate deep and stormy waters. She was the first person who taught me the value of practicing Dialectical Behavior Therapy skills which helped me reclaim my life. I healed so much that in 2018, just weeks after we finished another round, I became a certified mental health peer specialist. Then, the world came full circle for us. In 2022, during the thick of the pandemic and I, still recuperating from recent Cancer treatment, had the privilege of working with Dr. Falk as a colleague! I brought with me, my specialty, a ten week Dialectical Behavior Therapy based navigation and coping skills workshop that I created specifically for our clients and facilitated.
