My sessions with Dr. Silver were extremely helpful. She helped me navigate a personal tragedy and major life changes. She helped me develop the perspective and agency to make substantial improvements to my life and emotional state.One thing I especially appreciated about her was that she respected my goals and value systems. Some counselors and doctors, if you tell them it hurts when you do x, will tell you to just stop doing x. But Dr. Silver helped me live life the way I wanted to, and helped me figure out ways to do the hard things I wanted to do and still be functional, instead of encouraging me to just do the easy thing to feel better.She was a very attentive listener, and she was very creative and insightful, and especially good at helping me see things from a different perspective. She helped me become much more resilient, functional, and effective, in a way that has lasted after I stopped seeing her.I am very grateful to her!
