Pros - versed in well researched therapy modality EMDR - willing to do EMDR virtually - successful in supporting me to overcome fears surrounding severe PTSD - adding DBT skills to her and my toolbox - evening availability - Since Nadira is an EMDR specific therapist, the therapy lasts about a year. About 9 month we're weekly and then two months biweekly, then 2 months monthly. So there is a process of stopping therapy or finding a new therapist. She's willing to work with you on your needs. Things to keep in mind for preference: - EMDR is an intensive form of therapy that you need a solid coping skills toolbox before you start. Nadira did great at providing those coping skills before going into the intense work of EMDR - in person visits we're not available due to COVID which I didn't mind or have any issues with. - ARC psychiatry (the company she works for currently) is fairly unorganized, but Nadira competence makes up for that. - make sure you are ok with the timeline
