Saw her in urgent care. She seemed confident and knowledgeable, but rushed and not pleasant. She asked me if I was anxious to leave so that I could get out and have some fun in the sun?? I'm in my mid sixties--not 10. I was in agony. I wanted to go home and go to bed. Weird question. She was rather controlling and did not do a good job of educating me about what was going on. I saw an internist a couple days later and was surprised by what I learned from her. The internist told me that patients have rights, and that I should have been given certain choices rather than being told that Nikki's way was the only way. The internist was actually surprised at the treatment that I received. It was not as thorough as it should have been. Also, I was given no medication. I was NOT looking for pain medicine. The specialist said I should have been on a certain medication right from the get-go. How is a patient supposed to know these things? I felt trapped in the middle.
