My wife has had Parkinsons Disease for over 12 years and was exhibiting some of the most troubling psychological aspects of this. We had a long, good and trusting marriage but she became very mistrustful, and was having auditory and visual hallucinations which she took to be true. Her hostility became very difficult for me to deal with. We were referred to Dr Oppermann who gradually helped her, and me, realize what was happening, that these are illusions, they are not true, and she can manage them. The end result was a big reduction in these sorts of problems. The root cause, PD, is still there of course, but she can indeed see the reality. He also pointed out other personality aspects, never pointed out to her before, that complicate or exacerbate the issues, so she can manage those too. He also helped her mitigate the depression that PD had induced in her.
