Dr. Matefy is a good listener and patiently helps me to discover my erroneous ways. He provides a safe place that allows me to get rid of thoughts and behaviors that get in the way of my recovery, replacing them with more positive changes. He is experienced and knowledgeable, like a kind, wise and accepting father figure that I trust will help me find the right way. Homework assignments are part of my therapy and he will also send me articles to further understand what I am going through. I still have a way to go but Dr. Matefy has taught me good coping skills. I have recommended him to family and friends.
