I have been a patient of Dr. R. for 19 years, to manage my diabetes. I have referred him to many friends who had the need for endocrinology care, as well as to have their bone density checked, and any metabolic challenges. He is exceptionally well trained, a true scholar. He keeps up-to-date on research in his field, as well as all the medicines in his field, both old and new. He is conservative in his approach to medication, and doesn't over prescribe. He is one of a dying breed - he actually prepares notes of each office and sends them, with your blood work (processed in their lab), to physicians who are part of your care team. His is a busy practice, but I have never felt rushed when in his exam room. He has personally followed up with me when my A1C results are either great, or not where we would like them to be. He always is supportive and offers advice on exercise for someone like me, who hates exercise. If he accepts new patients, I encourage you to get into his practice.
