I am genuinely surprised at the extremely negative reviews and while I cannot speak to those other reviewers' experiences I suspect some of them are not necessarily fair. Ron is direct and not afraid to challenge (a non-constructive or harmful) thought or belief. I have a close acquaintance who didn't like him for this reason, i.e. Ron challenged a "black and white" belief this person held and the person felt offended by this challenge and thus wrote Ron off as a "bad therapist." My husband and I have worked with Ron for years and he has been wonderful - insightful, compassionate, and very adept at facilitating very difficult conversations. Even so, Ron will assert himself to ensure things stay on topic and respectful, and frankly I appreciate that about him. Therapy is extremely hard work and it takes a lot for a therapist to navigate others the complex and emotionally wrought territory that comes with it. I think Ron is an excellent guide for anyone looking to navigate that terrain.
