He’s quite knowledgeable in trauma, development, and attachment. His approach is a mixture of serious and light-hearted. He’s quite personable and caring but isn’t exactly warm or parental (more caring from a distance). More self-contained energy but insightful with his wit. Fairly laidback with defined professional boundaries. The therapy sessions are more of a semi-structured format and client-led. In other words, it doesn’t have much of a formal structure or format unless initiated by the client. It’s more of an open-ended flow of consciousness with some additional probing, redirection, guidance. The modality is what I consider more holistic, big picture, philosophical (somatic experiencing, meditation, Jungian) rather than focusing primarily on solution-focused CBT (which is prevalent nowadays).
