A lot of people have to shop around for a good therapist. I was lucky with Dr. Jones that I got it right the first time. I first started seeing him was I was in my mid twenties after my time in the army. At the time I was extremely skeptical of therapy and felt like I needed some old school psychoanalysis. You know, old dude with a clip board taking notes while you’re laying on a couch. I was completely wrong, and Dr. Jones knew precisely what I needed. He helped me understand the roots of my feelings, but more importantly he helped me overcome them. All I had to do was trust him. If you can get the opportunity to be seen by him, he can help you. He changed the course of my life and gave me the tools to help myself and others.
