Earlier this year, I suddenly began suffering from blurred vision. I had just begun to use Repatha for my elevated LDL and suspected the onset of the blurred vision might somehow be due to the Repatha -- though my cardiologist had never of this side effect and Repatha's own literature makes no mention of blurred vision as a possible side effect. Dr Douroudian, however, immediately speculated that since Repatha, like other statins, targets lipids, it might well also impact the lipids produced in the eyelids and result in dry eye disease. She prescribed a course of topical steroids and eyelid cleanses that cleared the blurry vision up in a matter of weeks. I was very impressed with Dr Douroudian's depth of knowledge -- as well as her willingness to take the time to explain what was likely the cause of my vision problems.
