Tise has been very helpful to me over the years. She does Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) which includes mindfulness and an emphasis on doing a lot of work on yourself. It is different than analytical therapy. I'm sorry that this style was not helpful to you. But it is a legit form of psychotherapy that has been used for over 100 years and I think it is unfair to dismiss her as if she's not a good therapist. She is very good at what she does. She helped immensely with my relationship with my mother and did it with compassion and empathy. I always felt heard and understood by her. Analytical style of therapy did not help me but I will not dismiss those therapists because they were doing what they were taught that works best for their patients. Tise has helped me more than anyone with my mental health and I will always be grateful for her.
