Dr Linaman listened quietly with few questions as I unburdened myself of 40plus years of manipulation and gaslighting and addiction by my husband. At the end of my nearly hourlong summary of the many many covert behaviors, tens of thousands of dollars thrown away buying rounds for bars as well as women, yet blaming me for not being a “godly wife” who actually was faithful and trusting and encouraging in my ignorance, Dr Linaman said I did nothing to cause what was done to me. I did not deserve the incredible abuse I suffered because of this marriage (emotional and spiritual) and I needed to disengage from my spouse. What a shock to my spouse this advice was but INCREDIBLY VALIDATING to me. Thank you, Dr Linaman. I needed this more than you know. Definitely a gift from the Lord!
