Transcript
When my eyes started to bulge, I wanted to tuck myself away in the house.
I didn't like going places because I hated hearing comments. When I was having a hard day, I had to mentally choose
to not let it affect tomorrow. Even though I would use eyedrops and things of that nature
to try to lubricate my eyes, nothing really helped. Definitely made me feel insecure because not only were
my eyes extremely red, they were also bulging. So it almost gave the effect as if they were
kind of popping out of my head. It just felt like I always had to explain my situation everywhere I went. I know we like to act like, oh, like, we're all so strong.
I cried plenty of times. So for me, I had to be like, this day is over. It is no longer here.
And we are going to do everything we can for tomorrow to have a good day. [AUDIO LOGO]
