answer

A person with syringomyelia needs to avoid any activities that create undue stress or strain on their spine. Such activities include heavy lifting, high-impact exercises or contact sports - like football and aerobics - and anything that forces them to strain themselves. If you have syringomyelia, stay away from amusement park rides with their twists, turns, and bumps. These types of activities are hard on your spine. Additionally, forceful coughing or other sharp movements can also exacerbate your symptoms.
