answer
In a clinical study of Horizant (gabapentin enacarbil), patients' symptoms of restless legs syndrome (RLS) showed improvement within a few days of starting the drug and continued to improve for about another week. After that, the symptoms stayed at the new, lower level for the rest of the 12-week study.

Your doctor will monitor your condition and may change your Horizant dose over time. Be aware, though, that the drug may stop working after a while.
