Refreshing Mixed Berry Salsa Recipe

Looking for an easy way to enjoy fresh berries? Warm weather produce takes center stage in this spicy and sweet salsa packed with immune-boosting nutrients. Try this recipe from the 10-Day Detox Diet Cookbook by functional medicine physician Mark Hyman, MD.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup chopped strawberries
  • 1/2 cup blueberries
  • 1/2 cup raspberries
  • 1 medium tomato, cored and chopped
  • 1/3 red onion, chopped
  • 1 or 2 jalapeños, seeded and finely chopped
  • 1/2 bunch cilantro, stemmed and chopped
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon sea salt 

Preparation

  1. Combine all of the ingredients in a medium bowl, stirring gently to combine. Serve. Refrigerate leftover salsa in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
