answer
Oral rehydration salts are a combination of salts, minerals, and sugars that should not interact negatively with medications or foods. If an underlying medical condition is involved that might prevent absorption of these ingredients, complications might arise. If you are taking any medications, particularly those that influence your electrolyte balance, or if you have renal impairment, discuss using oral rehydration salts with your doctor before you begin. Your doctor may decide to change or adjust dosage of certain medications to avoid complications.
