The first place to look for someone to walk with will be within your place of work.  All of your co-workers should be focused on their fitness and by sending out a mass e-mail, you may find that many are interested and have been trying to find someone as well.

If you would prefer to avoid exercising with your co-workers then go to a YMCA or your local recreation center.  Facilities such as these may have walking clubs or may have listings for people who are looking for workout buddies.  Finding a new workout buddy will help keep you motivated and help push you to the next level.

Many people find it easier to exercise when they have company. Start by asking people you know who might be willing to join you. Check with family members, friends, and co-workers. Try to find someone dependable who is at about your level of fitness. If no one you know is interested or available, see if any of the malls in your area has a walking program, or look in your local paper for walking clubs.
Almost all cities have several walking clubs, for all ages and levels of fitness. Walking clubs are fun and the members are always happy to have you join them. You could also start walking at the track at a local school; you are almost certain to find other walkers there. Seek and you shall find.
