Dr. Wilcox took my PMDD seriously and was the first doctor to do something about the fact that I am “super likely” to have endometriosis. Every other doctor either just put me on birth control (didn’t work) or told me I probably have endometriosis, but they were unwilling to look for it. Dr. Wilcox is willing to explore options. Very clearly explains disease diagnosis and treatment options and gave me complete autonomy in my health care decisions. I feel that Women’s health care issues are still in the paternalistic age, and women who have diseases of the reproductive system are not treated soon enough or believed. I wish I had Dr. Wilcox 25 years ago. She is literally saving my life (she understands the psychological despair that comes from untreated pain and hormonal diseases).
