I have been in Dr. Imel's care for a very long time. He diagnosed me as a child and was my endocrinologist for most of my life after that, save for a short period where I needed a provider closer to home. Dr. Imel is very thoughtful and really knows his stuff. He has excellent bedside manner as well and has never once made me feel uncomfortable. He does his due diligence and makes sure he fully understands something before taking action. He is willing to listen and consider his patients' thoughts and concerns and gives the best response he can based on what he knows, and makes an effort to learn about things he might not fully understand. He is good at encouraging patients to do what they need to do to improve their health. He can give some tough love, which is needed at times. I don't mean to say he is unkind, just that he will be truthful and remind you that in order to be healthy, you have to be willing to work hard for it. He is the best doctor I have ever had.
