[MUSIC PLAYING] This is a process. It is a journey. Obviously, it took me years to find the solution that works for me.
And a lot of it went through a lot of trial and error. [MUSIC PLAYING]
I was first diagnosed with chronic migraines around the age of seven. I've really just have had to take a lot of time
away from family and daily activities and even my career. Prior to finding a treatment that actually worked for me,
I was getting about 15 to 25 a month when it comes to migraines. Since actually finding the treatment that works for me,
I get maybe less than five a month. The type of migraines is definitely different.
The duration is definitely shorter. Before actually finding the solution, my migraines would last anywhere from two to three days,
sometimes even a week. Now within 24 hours, I'm typically able to wake up and feel better the next day.
Finding an effective treatment after years of searching definitely brought a lot of relief,
brought a lot of hope into my life. Because before, it was really taking the life out of you because you're having to really shut yourself
inside for days at a time because you can't function. My life has changed in numerous ways.
And the top ways, I would say, is really just allowing me to spend quality time with friends and family
Adding activities back into my day and allowing me to enjoy those with those who I love is probably the most major change I've
seen in my life so far. Being able to speak about my relief that I have received through my journey of chronic migraines
has brought a sense of joy, but also of purpose in the sense that not only was I able to find a solution that worked for me,
but I also can help other people encounter the same and enjoy a new life.
