Hi, Dr. Mike Roizen here. Has your knee pain sidelined you?
There are few things that can help you get back in the game, lose extra weight. Every extra pound you get
rid off reduces three pounds of pressure on your knee joints when you walk and 10 pounds when you go up or down stairs or
run, and losing extra weight may be the most important thing you can do to prevent a serious knee problem.
In fact, overweight people who lose just 11 pounds cut their risk of Osteoarthritis, that's
knee problems, in half. Sit less, yoga, walking, biking, swimming and weight lifting
are all great low impact activities because they build stamina, strength and flexibility.
Stand up tall, would you? Standing up straight keeps your body unkiltered, so watch your posture.
