There are number of approved dental devices that can be used to treat sleep apnea.
Collectively, they're called mandibular advancement devices. And essentially, what they do is they advance your lower jaw forward and hold it forward while you're
sleeping at night, preventing your tongue from collapsing back on the back of your throat while you sleep. It's predominantly indicated for folks
with mild to moderate sleep apnea. And it really needs to be selected for the appropriate patient. But it can be a very effective treatment for sleep apnea
