Patients may desire to have a revision breast procedure after they've had augmentation or implants for many reasons.
The most common reason for revision breast surgery is ruptured implants and severe scar tissue.
Severe scar tissue is often referred to as capsular contracture. What that means is the capsule around the implant
under the muscle has hardened for some reason. That can lead to pain, distortion,
and just a horrible appearance to the breast as well. For all these reasons, patients present to us
for revision breast surgery. Other reasons for revision breast surgery can include changing the size of the bag.
