Transcript
Fructose is a sugar that naturally occurs in fruit.
Fructose intolerance is when your digestive system can't break down that sugar, and it leads to fermentation in your gut.
And that can lead to symptoms like gas and bloating. Fructose intolerance is usually caused by one of two things.
Either you've had a lot of antibiotics or something that's taken down the good gut flora that normally hangs out
in your intestines. Or you're just, for some reason, low on good quality bacteria. And the remedy for that is pretty simple.
It's actually to start taking a probiotic and get fermented foods in your diet everyday. Things like yogurt that's unsweetened or miso.
