What foods keep skin healthy?
A nutritious diet goes a long way in keeping skin healthy; foods high in antioxidants, including leafy vegetables, berries, nuts and olive oil, can help protect skin. Watch dermatologist Doris Day, MD, explain which foods have the greatest impact.

Your skin is really what you eat. And there's lots of studies that show that a great diet will have a huge impact in your skin.
And a bad diet will also unfortunately have a huge impact on your skin. Look for foods that contain high antioxidants, lots
of green leafy vegetables. The more colors found in nature, the better. Berries, almonds, walnuts, olive oil, all of these,
each of them with their own specific color, have antioxidants that benefit the skin. They help your skin protect and repair sun damage.
They also help against skin cancer as well. So antioxidants are made by plants that are stuck out there in the sun, can't move out of the way.
So they develop a defense mechanism. When we eat those plants, we also get that defense mechanism for our skin as well.
