Life Unscripted: Ariana and a day at the doctor with IgAN
Ariana shares what to expect a the doctor, as a patient living with IgAN.
Transcript
There are 37 million Americans currently living with kidney disease. Before I was diagnosed and when my kidney function was still
actively declining, I was seeing the nephrologist probably 2 or 3 times a month. I got diagnosed relatively early in my journey.
Every three months, I get testing done to make sure that I'm stable. Go in your portal or request your records from your doctor.
Before my nephrologist appointments, I will make sure that all of my lab results are synced between my primary care doctor
and my nephrologist's office. There are things that I can do to help maintain my kidneys. You definitely want to go in with, like,
a physical list of questions. Make sure that all of your questions are answered and that all of your concerns are addressed.
