For those living with osteoarthritis, there are a few things you should be aware of. [MUSIC PLAYING]
If you notice any of these symptoms, call your health care provider. If your pain in a joint is so severe that you can't really
use it, if your symptoms keep returning, especially if they're returning more frequently
or are more painful or severe than they used to be. Call your health care provider right away
or go to the nearest emergency room if you feel warmth, swelling, or pain in a joint,
especially if it comes on suddenly. These may be symptoms of an infected joint.
You may also have a fever. You should also call your health care provider if you experience any issues with your medications,
such as stomach pain, you have any questions about your treatment. There may be other treatment options that you can explore.
Now many patients may be able to manage mild osteoarthritis symptoms on their own.
However, if you experience something new or are even unsure about something related
to your osteoarthritis, it's never a bad idea to give your health care provider a call, even if just for peace of mind.
