So you want to be really careful about holding onto those grudges. [MUSIC PLAYING] Holding a grudge is really bad for your health and here's why.
Positive emotion actually expands our ability to deal with adversity and to deal with stress.
It actually boosts our immune systems. People with a lot of positive emotion tend to live longer and healthier.
Negative emotion does just the opposite. Over time, it wreaks havoc on our bodies and obviously our emotional and our mental health.
And so holding onto a grudge is one of the ways that we do that. Because when we're holding onto a grudge, we're typically holding on to unforgiveness which
means resentment, it means anger, bitterness-- all of those negative emotions.
So you want to be really careful about holding onto those grudges. You might think that it's somehow hurting the other person. But in truth, it's hurting you.
